Getting Started
Logging In
Navigate to aitranslationhub.co and click Service → Login in the top-right menu.
Enter the credentials provided by your project manager. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, complete the verification step.
After login you will see the Translation Records dashboard. From here you can access the AI translator or navigate to your MTPE projects.
Navigating to MTPE Projects
Once logged in, you can access the MTPE workspace in two ways:
- My Projects — shows all projects assigned to you. Click any project row to open its workspace.
- Project Dashboard (admin view) — lists every project with filters for status, language pair, and client.
Opening the Workspace
Click a project name or the Open Workspace button next to any project. The MTPE workspace loads with your source and machine-translated target segments side by side, ready for post-editing.

Workspace Layout Overview
The workspace is divided into three main areas:

Source Column
The left column displays the original source text, split into segments (typically sentences). This column is read-only — you cannot edit it. Each segment is numbered for easy reference.
Target Column
The center column contains the machine-translated text. Click any target segment to begin editing. Changes are auto-saved as you move to another segment. A gold left-border indicates the currently active segment.
Sidebar Panels
The right sidebar shows contextual information for the active segment:
- Translation Memory (TM) — fuzzy and exact matches from previous translations.
- Glossary — approved terminology for the project's domain.
- Comments — notes left by reviewers or project managers.
- Segment History — a log of every edit made to the segment, with timestamps.
Reviewing & Editing Segments
Editing Target Text
Click on any target segment to activate it. The segment becomes an editable text area.
Make your corrections directly in the text. Formatting (bold, italic) from the source document is preserved.
Press Tab or click another segment to move on. Your edit is auto-saved.
Approving Segments
Approved segments are considered final. To approve:
- Click the checkmark button on the segment row, or
- Press Ctrl+Enter to approve and automatically advance to the next segment.
Approved segments display a green indicator. To approve all reviewed segments at once, use Ctrl+Shift+A.
Flagging Segments
If a segment needs attention (ambiguous source, terminology question, etc.), flag it for review:
- Click the flag icon on the segment row, or press Ctrl+F.
- Add a comment explaining the issue. Flagged segments appear with an orange indicator and are visible to project managers.
Reverting Changes
To undo your edits and restore the original machine translation:
- Open the Segment History panel in the sidebar.
- Click Revert to Original to restore the MT output, or select any previous version to restore it.

Translation Memory & Glossary
How TM Matches Work
When you select a segment, the system searches the Translation Memory for similar source sentences from past projects. Matches are scored by similarity:
- 100% (Exact Match) — identical source text was translated before. The previous translation is shown as a strong suggestion.
- 75–99% (Fuzzy Match) — the source is similar but not identical. Differences are highlighted so you can quickly adjust.
- Below 75% — matches are available via concordance search but not displayed automatically.
Click any TM match in the sidebar to insert it into the target segment. You can then refine it manually.
Glossary Panel
The glossary panel displays approved term pairs for the current project's domain. When the source segment contains a glossary term, it is highlighted in both the source text and the glossary panel.
- Glossary terms are set by the project manager and cannot be edited by linguists.
- If you believe a term is incorrect, flag the segment and add a comment explaining your concern.
Multi-File Projects
File Separators
When a project contains multiple documents, each file is loaded into the workspace as a continuous stream of segments separated by a file separator bar. The separator bar displays:
- The original filename (e.g., Chapter_03.docx)
- The segment range for that file
- A progress indicator showing how many segments are approved
You can click any file separator to jump directly to that file's first segment.
Exporting as ZIP
When you export a multi-file project, the system packages each file as a separate translated DOCX inside a single ZIP archive. File names match the originals with a language suffix (e.g., Chapter_03_FR.docx).

Exporting Translated DOCX
Open the project in the MTPE workspace.
Click the Export button in the workspace toolbar (top-right).
The system generates a DOCX file that mirrors the original document's formatting, with your edited translations in place of the source text.
The download starts automatically. For multi-file projects, a ZIP is downloaded instead.
What Gets Exported
- All approved and saved target segments are included.
- Original formatting (headings, tables, lists, bold/italic) is preserved.
- Comments and flags are not included in the export — they remain in the workspace for internal reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
First, try resetting your password using the Forgot Password link on the login page. If the problem persists, contact your project manager or email translate@epictranslations.com.
The MTPE workspace requires an active internet connection. All changes are saved to the server in real time. If you lose connectivity, your most recent unsaved edit may need to be re-entered when you reconnect.
Click the approved (green) checkmark on the segment to toggle it back to unapproved. You can then continue editing. This does not affect the segment's edit history.
Yes, you may rewrite the segment entirely if the MT output is unusable. Simply clear the target text and type your translation. If this happens frequently, flag the segment and note the issue so the project manager can investigate the MT engine configuration.
Press Ctrl+G to open the "Go to Segment" dialog. Type the segment number and press Enter. You can also click the segment counter in the status bar at the bottom of the workspace.

The workspace is optimized for desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). While the help pages are responsive, the editing workspace itself is best used on screens 1024px or wider for a comfortable post-editing experience.
